Timothy Hill , Chief Executive Officer, Chief Executive Officer

Timothy Hill was appointed CEO of the newly formed Impala Canada in December 2019 with 19 years of experience in the mining industry. After successfully helping North American Palladium (NAP) achieve a significant financial turnaround, Tim took the helm at the pivotal moment when NAP became the sole Canadian operation of the global Implats Group, a large global mining leader specializing in platinum group metals.

Tim joined North American Palladium in 2015 as Director of Business Improvement and was quickly appointed to Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer within a year. He previously held progressively senior positions at Vale Canada in operations, finance and business planning for the North Atlantic Base Metals business.

Tim is a Chartered Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant who holds a Master of Science in Finance from Queen’s University Belfast and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Victoria.

Amar Shah , Chief Financial Officer, Chief Financial Officer

Amar Shah is a Chartered Professional Accountant with more than 20 years of experience – 15 of them in finance and business leadership within the international resource sector. As CFO at Impala Canada, Amar provides leadership in all areas of financial and IT management.

Prior to joining Impala, he was the Corporate Controller, Strategic Planning and Finance with Sherritt International, an international nickel/cobalt and energy company. There, he provided financial leadership for more than 10 years with increasing responsibility and led the development of the enterprise risk management, strategy development and business planning portfolios. Amar has also worked for global copper/zinc producer Inmet Mining, leading financial reporting for four years during a period of rapid growth. Prior to that, Amar worked with Ernst & Young for seven years specializing in private and public company reporting for clients in manufacturing and heavy industry.

A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, Amar holds a Master of Accounting degree and an Honours Bachelor of Arts Accounting degree from the University of Waterloo.

Bryan Wilson , General Manager, Lac des Iles Mine, General Manager, Lac des Iles Mine

Bryan Wilson joined Impala Canada’s Lac des Iles Mine in April 2014 as Mine Manager and was soon awarded the position of General Manager. He has worked in the mining industry for 33 years, 18 of them in management. During this time, he has gained first-hand experience and knowledge in almost every aspect of mining.

A passionate and respected leader noted for inspiring loyalty from his team, Mr. Wilson is relentless in ensuring the health and safety of his employees and everyone on site. Health and safety have always been his driving priorities and he has improved Lac des Iles’ safety metrics across the board. Mr. Wilson’s operational leadership played an integral role in the recent business turnaround of Impala Canada’s predecessor firm, North American Palladium, from a challenged entity to a profitable mine site.

Wayne Scott , VP Human Resources, Aboriginal Affairs & Environment, VP Human Resources, Aboriginal Affairs & Environment

Wayne Scott is a senior mining leader with more than 30 years of experience in human resources who has held several executive positions in both the public and private sectors. Wayne joined the predecessor firm to Impala Canada, North American Palladium, early in 2014 to oversee Human Resources, Environment, Health, Safety, and Aboriginal Affairs. Three years later, he was promoted to Vice President of Human Resources, Aboriginal Affairs & Environment. Prior to joining the Company, Wayne spent 15 years in the international base metals mining sector. Wayne holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources and Labour Relations and a Master of Business Administration from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He has completed the Executive Leadership Program at MIT's Sloan School of Management, among other professional diploma programs. Wayne is a member of the Canadian Human Resources Professionals Association of Canada.

Erin Satterthwaite , VP Corporate Affairs & Communications, VP Corporate Affairs & Communications

Erin Satterthwaite has an 18-year track record of leadership in communications, corporate affairs and community investment. She joined the predecessor firm to Impala Canada, North American Palladium, early in 2019 to enhance awareness of the Company and palladium itself within the industry, investor community and broader public. Erin draws on her experience to hone messages audiences need to hear and strategically forges internal and external partnerships to attract investors and strengthen communities.

Prior to joining to the firm, Erin led Communications and Community Investment for Vale Canada and Vale's Base Metals business globally for more than a decade, managing multiple feedback channels to gather actionable insights. Previously, Erin developed corporate partnerships for SickKids Foundation, managed entrepreneurial coaching projects for The Strategic Coach and marketed top brands at Cossette. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario.

Allison Henstridge , VP Technical Services & Projects, VP Technical Services & Projects

Allison Henstridge is a mining engineer with strong technical abilities and more than 18 years of experience in both underground and open pit mines. She joined Impala Canada in January 2020 as Manager Strategy and Business Planning. Just one year later Allison was promoted to Vice President Technical Services & Projects, assuming responsibility for life of mine planning, mine engineering, business planning, exploration and capital project execution.

Prior to joining the Impala Canada team, Allison spent 15 years with Barrick Gold, where she held a variety of technical roles with increasing responsibility and more recently held the role of Director Evaluations. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.

Toby Hofton , VP, Environment, Sustainability & Tailings Management, VP, Environment, Sustainability & Tailings Management

With more than 20 years in mining engineering and strong technical and analytical skills, Toby was appointed VP, Environment, Sustainability & Tailings Management on April 1, 2021, overseeing environmental and tailing management, permitting and sustainability.

Prior to joining us in 2017, Toby was a mining, civil and geotechnical engineering consultant for Hatch and SNC-Lavalin. He has worked in production planning, earthworks construction and tailings management; managed technical teams to design tailings dams and water management; and performed risk and construction management, cost control, and compliance reporting at major mining and civil engineering sites.

Toby speaks English, French, Spanish and Portuguese and has worked with mining firms world-wide. He holds a Master of Civil-Geotechnical Engineering from Concordia University, a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining from McGill University and membership in the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).

Katie McCormack , Corporate Development, Corporate Development

Katie McCormack is a professional geologist with 16+ years of experience working across North America and internationally. After exploring for many years to expand mineral deposits, she now hunts for high-quality assets and opportunities to build a strategically balanced pipeline of projects to meet Impala Canada’s business needs and operational requirements.

Katie is developing our network of potential partnerships with universities, governments and corporations to facilitate options, joint ventures, acquisitions and divestitures. In addition, she conducts market research to support capital investments and monitors business and exploration activity across the Americas. Katie is known for building collaborative teams and has begun to develop her department.
